Yoga. Aerobics' limber cousin.
Dating back 1700 BC, "Yoga" is an Indian term meaning, "To put one's foot in one's mouth" and is the origin of the same expression.
Okay, we may have made that up.
Okay, we definitely made that up. But it COULD be true.
Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices with a broad spectrum of focused motivations including, but not limited to pain, stress, and anxiety relief, increased strength and flexibility, and a well recognized complementary intervention to dozens of pathologies including cancer, heart disease, and mental disorders.
Or as my Great Aunt would say, "It's the bee's knees".
The documented benefits of Yoga are often anecdotal, however very rarely disputable:
Mostly due to a supposition of the "Yoga isn't for me" conspiracy perpetuated by the mainstream media and athletic store mannequins.
"I don't wanna look stupid. Everyone will know I'm new. What if I do something wrong? What the heck is a lotus??"
All valid points. At one point in time we didn't know what Ice Cream tasted like, and look how that turned out. #CheckMate
"How do you feel about quitting yoga?"
"Namaste right here."
Have a great week,
